To make it simple, we offer two packages:

A traditional, dignified funeral service tailored to individual wishes, offering flexibility in arrangements, style, and additional options.

Professional Services – £1795

Includes:

  • Receiving instructions in connection with the funeral
  • Providing all relevant advice and guidance
  • Making all necessary arrangements
  • Conducting the funeral with care and professionalism

Collection – £295

  • Bringing the person who has died into our care within a 25-mile radius
  • No out-of-hours surcharge – unlike many other funeral directors

Hearse and Staff – £495

  • Provision of a traditional hearse
  • Up to four bearers
  • For travel within a 25-mile radius to a local crematorium or burial ground

Coffin Options

  • Traditional range (wood-effect and solid timber): from £375
  • Cardboard with rope handles: from £350
  • Imported willow or seagrass (oval or traditional shape): from £595
  • Picture coffins (cardboard or MDF): from £555
  • Handmade Somerset willow: from £895
  • Please note: Additional charges may apply for larger coffin sizes (typically over 6’2″ x 22″), usually around £125.

Additional Services & Charges

  • Printed service sheets: from £3 each
  • Embalming (if requested): from £250
  • Additional mileage (beyond 25 miles): £1 per mile
  • Arranging and attending burial of ashes (Mon-Fri): £195
  • Scatter tube for cremated remains: £35
  • Other urns, containers, or keepsakes: Prices vary on request
  • Bringing the deceased home or to a church the night before the funeral: £395
  • Hire of 4-seat saloon car: £150
  • Newspaper notices: from £85
  • Floral arrangements: from £60

the Simple Funeral Service

£2495 plus third-party costs

A full service at a single location – crematorium or graveside

Our Simple Funeral Service provides a dignified and respectful farewell with a focus on clarity, affordability, and essential elements. It is ideal for those who want a straightforward funeral without additional extras.

What’s included

  • Collection of the deceased within a 25-mile radius of our premises
  • Care of the deceased until the day of the funeral
  • Receiving your instructions and providing full advice and guidance
  • Arranging and conducting the funeral with professionalism and respect
  • Provision of a hearse and up to four bearers (within a 25-mile radius) for a service at a local crematorium or burial ground
  • Please note: the hearse will proceed directly to the place of the service only
  • Provision of a simple coffin suitable for cremation or burial
  • Scattering of cremated remains in the crematorium’s garden of remembrance, or returning them to our care for collection within 30 days

Important Note

This service has limitations on ancillary services and is best suited to families who prefer a simpler arrangement without extras such as embalming, viewing visits, processions, or additional vehicles.
